The original BlackJack doesn’t have GPS.

If you have a Blackjack II then sure, go turn on the GPS.

If your location is indicated within 1500 feet or so, your gps is not on. Rather, your position is triangulated from cell towers. when in google maps, go to the menu and select use gps - it may take awhile to find satellites, but it will indicate if it is looking.

I believe that the My Location feature will not be available on the Blackjack because Windows Mobile doesn’t allow access to the hardware level information that holds the Cell ID data. I’ll add more comments if this changes.

so what can I do to make “My Location” work on my Samsung i607. The system configuration says myl:N/A. Is it possible to change that? I tried the appunlock from SurrealNetworks; that didn’t work.

That level of resolution is good enough for me. Often I’ll find myself in San Francisco or somewhere and I just want to quickly search for “sushi” near my current location… Not having to search for “Fell & Divisidero st, san francico, ca” first would be a time saver.

Uhhh wtf Google? GPS is orders of magnitude more accurate than that. That isn’t “pretty close”. Being off by a kilometer is frigging huge to me, but what do I know.
