Now hiring! White-box QA Engineer (SDET)
The company I work for, thePlatform, is growing and, I’m looking for a “White-box QA Engineer (SDET).” You should feel confident programming in Java/C# and have experience with any xUnit framework. A background in QA is nice, but having a great tester mentality is what we’re really after. If any of these blog posts I’ve written are interesting and exciting to you, apply!
- TestNG: Threading Questions
- Designing for Testability: 14 facets of TypeMock.NET
- What defines a test suite in your organization?
- AJAX Test Driven Development with Selenium
- Fitnesse, FitLibrary DoFixtures and Selenium: A winning combination.
- Software Development Engineer in Test: The chilling truth behind the SDET acronym!
Keep in mind that we’re located in Seattle, WA in Lower Queen Anne close to the Space Needle and we expect you to work on site. (aka you gotta move here buddy!)
Uh, but what does thePlatform do?
Our teams build the flagship product MPS and its related Web Services, a very high traffic system that manages millions of media files and processes millions of hits per day. Solutions built with MPS have become high-profile destinations for customers such as CNBC, Microsoft, Comcast, Verizon and many others.
What’s it like working there?
We work in small teams using Scrum/XP with 2-6 week sprints. You won’t sit in a cube, but you’ll have to share an office with several team members and put up with the great views of Lower Queen Anne and the Seattle Art Museums Olympic Sculpture Park out your office window. Everyday you’ll be working with most technologies mentioned at the No Fluff Just Stuff conference or any Oreilly book with Java in the title.
Want to know more about software/hardware? Want to know the best perk? Anything? Then send that resume and your questions to wes@brokenbuild.com with [White-box QA Engineer (SDET)] in the subject line.
