Project Layout: What’s in a name?

We’re laying out a project now and trying to choose container name for the “that part of the project that where the developers live” as opposed to the “place where the testers test stuff lives”. Using “core” seems so bland… but so far I can’t seem to convince anyone to name it “bedrock”, “presupposition” or “nexus”.

antecedent, assumption, authority, axiom, backbone, background, backing, base, bedrock, cause, center, chief ingredient, core, crux, data, essence, essential, evidence, explanation, footing, fundamental, hard fact, heart, infrastructure, justification, keynote, keystone, law, nexus, nucleus, postulate, premise, presumption, presupposition, principal element, principle, proof, reason, root, rudiment, sanction, security, source, . . . http://thesaurus.reference.com/browse/core

I guess it’ll just have to be “core” afterall.
