Steve Jobs Is Right Again

Everyone wants a MacBook Pro because they are so bitchin’ Steve Jobs during Apple’s annual shareholder meeting.

I want one.

  1. It looks like a sweet machine, but I haven’t really been able to get into big laptops. This one is about 7 lbs! My first laptop was a 12″ iBook. When it came time to replace it, I went with a 15″ iBook. That ended up seeming well, too big. It was about 5 lbs and just seemed to bulky. So when the opportunity came along, I picked up a 12″ powerbook and unloaded the 15″ iBook on my wife.

    I’m waiting on when they release a 12/13″ MacBook Pro model, but since my PB is only 1.5 years old, I’ll probably not be getting a new one for a couple more years.

    On the other hand, I’m seriously considering getting an intel 20″ iMac — a nice, quiet, fast machine and the footprint is sweet! It will probably be next year, though, after Adobe releases their OSX native intel versions of Photoshop and InDesign. And after I pay off some more of my basement remodel.
