Keyboard Recommendations Needed
I’ve been a happy hacker keyboard user for about 2 years now and I love it. Normally I’m working with Vim for coding, even in Visual Studio thanks to ViEmu. My new job has me working with IDEA which is an awesome editor, however to use it well you’re always hitting combinations of Shift-F3, Shift-Alt-N, etc. The Happy Hacker Keyboard doesn’t have dedicated F-Keys so you have to hit Shift-Alt-FunctionKey-N; it’s not a natural reach. Since I’m just learning IDEA I’m not for remapping they keys.
I’m looking for a keyboard that has similar key pressure as the happy hacker. I’ve never liked ergonomic keyboards, but I’m willing to give them a shot. Anyone have a recommendation for me?

Try the keyboard the HHK is based on, a sun unix keyboard. They have all normal Fkeys and more (they’re a little wide, definitely compared to a HHK). The old sun layout is the reason many people have no choice but to use the overpriced HHK.

I found another option: http://plugins.intellij.net/plugins/view/?id=IdeaVIM
Why the hell does every IDE except Eclipse have a free vi plugin??!?!?
